KPKP Carries Out Food Inspection at Muara Angke Wholesale Fish Market

Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Agency conducted food inspection at Muara Angke Wholesale Fish Market, North Jakarta, on Saturday (12/19).
The result is 100 percent of the samples are formalin-free, thus it is safe for consumption
Jakarta KPKP Agency Acting Head (Plt), Suharini Eliawati conveyed, food inspection was carried out to ensure fishery products sold in the market were free from hazardous chemicals. There were 65 samples from various types of fish, shrimps, and squid which taken for laboratory testing.
"The result is 100 percent of the samples are formalin-free, thus it is safe for consumption," she stated, Monday (12/20).
KPKP Holds Food Inspection in 10 SupermarketsAccording to her, this food inspection aimed food commodities which expected to be high in demand ahead of Christmas 2020 and New Year 2021.
"Fish, as a favorite food commodity during Christmas and New Year, becomes our target in this inspection. Besides, we also carry out similar inspection in other locations such as in Fish Auction Places (TPI) and supermarkets in Jakarta," she explained.
